Terms of Service

Last updated: September 12, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using the Harmony mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Harmony. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By using Harmony, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in the country where you live.

3. What Harmony Is, and Is Not

Harmony is an AI-powered communication and relationship-wellness tool for individuals and couples. Features may include Solo and Couples coaching sessions by chat or voice, private coaching, message softening, journals, moods, check-ins, Handoffs, quick touches, letters, goals, Chapters and Plans, milestones, widgets, Our Story, counselor exports, and optional professional connections.

Harmony is not a licensed therapist, medical provider, or crisis service. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical or psychological condition. It is designed to complement healthy relationship habits, not replace professional help.

4. Crisis and Safety

If you or someone you know is in danger or experiencing a mental-health emergency, do not rely on Harmony. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the U.S.), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or call 911. International users should contact your local emergency services.

Harmony surfaces these resources automatically when our pattern matching detects crisis language, and we will not transmit a flagged message to a partner. This safety layer is best-effort and does not replace professional intervention.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Harmony offers separate Solo and Couples subscriptions in Weekly, Monthly, and Annual billing periods. One active Couples subscription covers both connected partners while the connection and plan remain eligible. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. The payment channel and terms shown before you confirm a purchase determine how that subscription is billed and managed.

Apple purchases: Subscriptions purchased in the iPhone app are processed by Apple through the App Store. The price, billing period, and introductory offer, if any, shown in Apple's purchase confirmation at the time you subscribe control. An offer available on the Harmony website does not necessarily apply to an App Store purchase.

Website purchases: Payments are processed by Stripe through Harmony's embedded payment form. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial, followed by the regular price of their selected weekly, monthly, or yearly plan. A payment method is required, but no subscription payment is due during the free trial. Checkout confirms eligibility, the amount due today, and the recurring price and billing frequency before you agree. After the trial, the selected plan renews automatically until canceled. Cancel renewal before the 7 days end to avoid the first charge. If the offer is unavailable for your account, checkout shows the regular amount due before you pay. Existing subscriptions and previously accepted paid introductory offers retain their original terms.

Premium AI chat is not metered by a weekly minute allowance. 90 voice minutes per person each week, shared across Solo and Couples Voice and resetting Monday in that person's local time. Solo and Couples chat are unlimited on the applicable Premium plan. Unused voice minutes do not carry forward. Harmony shows the remaining shared voice balance before a session and may apply reasonable technical, safety, and abuse-prevention limits to any feature.

Unlimited Couples chat for both connected partners with a Couples membership. Eligible new users can also try one complimentary 15-minute Solo chat and one complimentary 15-minute Couples chat without a subscription in the iPhone app. These are separate from the subscription trial and remain subject to their time and usage limits. The Couples timer starts when the invited partner accepts. Used credits are not renewed by changing subscription offers.

For Apple purchases, you can cancel at any time in your iPhone's Settings, [your name], Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and previously charged amounts are non-refundable except where required by Apple's refund policy or applicable law.

For website purchases, manage or cancel renewal in Harmony at talkharmony.app/start/billing. For new free trials accepted under these Terms: Cancel anytime. Canceling before 48 hours ends your free trial immediately. At or after 48 hours, keep access until your trial ends. No charge on cancellation. Earlier trial agreements retain their accepted terms. Paid-period access continues until the end of the paid period shown in Your subscription. You are responsible for canceling before renewal if you do not want another charge. Subscription payments are non-refundable for forgetting to cancel, non-use, or changing your mind. No prorated refunds for unused time. Billing errors, service failures, and refunds required by law are exceptions under our Refund Policy. Cancel before your free trial ends to avoid the first charge. The Cancellation and Refund Policy is part of these Terms and explains the exceptions and how to request a review. Contact support@talkharmony.app for billing help or cancellation. Nothing in these Terms limits cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable law.

6. Account and Security

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Harmony uses passwordless sign-in (Apple, Google, or one-time email code), but you are still responsible for protecting access to the email account or third-party identity provider tied to your Harmony account.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Harmony to:

  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or coerce a partner or anyone else.
  • Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates someone else's rights.
  • Attempt to bypass the safety filters that block charged messages from being broadcast in couples mode.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or proprietary content.
  • Resell or sublicense the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. If you believe a partner is using Harmony to harm you, you can unpair from inside the app (Profile, Manage Connection) and contact support@talkharmony.app.

8. Couples Pairing and Shared Data

Pairing does not make all account content visible to both people. A partner may receive the shared portion of Couples sessions, revealed check-in answers, Handoffs and quick touches sent to them, and journals, moods, goals, or other items you choose to share. Private coaching, Solo sessions, private journals, unshared moods, and other content identified as private remain private to their author. When either partner unpairs, new cross-partner access ends, content remains attributed to its author, and any recovery choices shown in the app apply.

If you connect a licensed professional, you choose the Harmony areas and date range that professional can access. You may change or remove that permission. A professional may ask Harmony questions about currently permitted material or add guidance only through the controls provided. A professional code by itself does not reveal your identity or Harmony activity to that professional.

9. AI Outputs

Harmony's suggestions, summaries, insights, and translations are generated by language models and may contain mistakes. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. You are responsible for what you do with the suggestions Harmony surfaces.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, prompts, and functionality are the exclusive property of Harmony App and its licensors. You retain ownership of the content you author (journal entries, messages, etc.); by using the service, you grant us a limited license to process that content as necessary to provide the features described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Termination

You may stop using Harmony and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued operation would expose us or our users to legal or safety risk. Sections 9 (AI Outputs), 10 (Intellectual Property), 12 (Disclaimers), and 13 (Limitation of Liability) survive termination.

12. Disclaimers

Harmony is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or appropriate for every situation.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Harmony will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, goodwill, or relationship outcomes, resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
